Guest keith Posted August 15, 2017 at 06:54 PM Report Share Posted August 15, 2017 at 06:54 PM In the previous fiscal year our assembly passed a motion to undertake a small capital project. The project did not proceed. Since the time of the decision a new board has been elected. If the new board wants to proceed with the project, do they require the approval of the members? Greg Goodwiller, PRP Posted August 15, 2017 at 07:12 PM Report Share Posted August 15, 2017 at 07:12 PM Nothing in Robert's Rules would preclude moving forward with a project authorized at some point in the past but not immediately undertaken. Your own rules or something in the motion itself related to the project's schedule would need to be honored. But there is no parliamentary rules that applies.
