Under Article VII - Standing Committees: C. Education - Chairman appointed by the president. The education chairman will appoint members as necessary.

Under Article VII - Standing Committees:

Bylaws authorize the president to appoint the Education Committee Chairman. Education is a standing committee. At a regular meeting, the president announced her choice of Education Chairman and then asked the assembly to vote on this appointment. Since the bylaws authorize the president to appoint this chairman, is this appointment influenced in any way by the assembly's vote?
