3 persons were appointed to bring back a slate of officers for the annual election in December.  The committee chair submitted via message, names for 3 positions, but there are 5 positions up for election.  Additionally, after the meeting it was discovered that everyone eligible to run for an office was not polled. No one said anything opposing the way it was presented during the meeting, but now 3 members want to challenge how things were done and want a special meeting held for a "redo". 

Nominations from the floor are allowed before voting in December.  I think this will give everyone eligible the opportunity to be nominated or decline.

There was a question about doing away with the annual election of a Sergeant at Arms position.  The position would be replaced by a person or persons being appointed as a Ground Committee.  Is this permissible?

Are there any rules regarding the use of text messages as a means of making motions?  This is something new to our group and honestly, we are clueless as to the legality of it.
