Guest CTC-PA Posted April 26, 2011 at 05:08 PM Report Share Posted April 26, 2011 at 05:08 PM We are a nonprofit organization. I need to know who is responsible to putting together the agenda for meetings. Also, should the agenda be distributed to all board members prior to the meeting to review for additions? The agenda is ultimately approved by the board at the meeting, by majority vote, and the agenda may be amended by majority vote while it is pending. Also, should the agenda be distributed to all board members prior to the meeting to review for additions? This is not required by RONR, but the board may certainly require it if it wishes. Majority rules. If the President rules the motion out of order, Appeal from the decision of the chair. A majority vote is sufficient to overturn the chair's ruling. If the President and/or the Recording Secretary refuse to obey a direct order of the board, get a new President and/or Recording Secretary.
