Reconsider, Rescind, Renew, or What?

Our board meets weekly. Two weeks ago, a motion was passed by majority. Now, two members who were absent for that vote want to be able to vote in the negative on it - changing the result. In terms of "Reconsider", they argue "...a changed situation has developed since taking the vote." (RONR 10th, p 304,, line 24. It is likely that a member in the majority might move to reconsider though not inclined to chnage his/her vote. Opponents note the time delay: not same session, not next session. In terms of "Rescind": could the board rescind the original motion, then move it again? In terms of Renew: Is this an option, even though the motion was defeated pervioulsy? Any other options? Thanks!

Reconsider - too late.

Renew - nope, since it was adopted.

Rescind - sure. But there's no need to make the motion again so it can be voted down. Rescinding takes care of that.

If there was something about the adopted motion that simply needs to be changed, it would be perhaps best to move Amend Something Previously Adopted, and make whatever desired changes would make the previously absent members happy.
