Guest Valerie Posted March 18, 2019 at 10:57 PM Report Share Posted March 18, 2019 at 10:57 PM Can a school board member (President) who was absent at a regularly scheduled meeting, call a special board meeting to discuss and revote on an item that was passed unanimously because he did not like the outcome? This has happened before.

Guest Who's Coming to Dinner Posted March 19, 2019 at 12:36 AM Report Share Posted March 19, 2019 at 12:36 AM If the special meeting may be called according to board rules, then the member may move to rescind the motion. There follows a debate on the merits of rescission. Requires a majority vote with previous notice, a two-thirds vote without, or a majority of the entire board membership.
