Guest Ross Jones Posted July 30, 2019 at 05:26 PM Report Share Posted July 30, 2019 at 05:26 PM Member # 1 makes a motion to paint the club house. During discussion on the motion Member #2 makes a motion to amend to paint the club house red. During this discussion on amendment # 1 Member #3 reads a doc that states all red paint has lead in it so makes an amendment (#2) to paint the club house blue. The second amendment passes, so amendment #2 changes red to Blue in amendment #1. Amendment #1 then voted on. If the amended amendment (#1) passes, we then vote on the amended motion #1 to paint the club house blue. Is this correct? Also in reporting the minutes to the club is the doc discussed in amendment by member #3 added to the minutes?

Atul Kapur Posted July 30, 2019 at 07:43 PM Report Share Posted July 30, 2019 at 07:43 PM None of the discussion needs to or even should go in the minutes. The only thing that needs to go into the minutes is the motion that you finally adopted, to paint the clubhouse blue. As well as the name of the mover.
