Guest Kim Posted August 27, 2019 at 10:07 PM Report Share Posted August 27, 2019 at 10:07 PM The Board is making an appointment to a commission. A number of individuals have submitted an application. A motion is made by a Board member and seconded by another Board member to nominate candidate A. The same Board member who made the motion to nominate candidate A, then seconds a motion to nominate candidate B. Is that proper?
Atul Kapur Posted August 27, 2019 at 10:18 PM Report Share Posted August 27, 2019 at 10:18 PM If there is only one position to be filled, then members should limit themselves to one nomination each. Please note that nominations do not require seconding. That way, you avoid this problem.
