Changing terms of current officers

We wish amend our bylaws to lower the terms of our club officers from three years to two years.  If the amendment passes, do the current officers have their terms reduced to match the revised bylaws (they still all have at least a year left in their terms), unless we add a proviso that their terms remain at three years?

Probably, although a precise answer will depend on the exact wording of your current and amended bylaws.

Bylaws take effect immediately unless there is a proviso otherwise.so if you change the length of the term, that would apply to the incumbents.
