laser158689 Posted March 10, 2020 at 01:12 AM Report Share Posted March 10, 2020 at 01:12 AM Does a condition such as... "...shall hold office for a term of two years and until a successor shall be elected and have qualified." in any way impact the nature of Adjourning as described in RONR p237 ll6-15? Atul Kapur Posted March 10, 2020 at 05:53 AM Report Share Posted March 10, 2020 at 05:53 AM I don't see that it would. If you have a specific situation, more details would be helpful.
Guest laser158689 Posted March 11, 2020 at 05:38 PM Report Share Posted March 11, 2020 at 05:38 PM Municipal Town Meeting that meets on a regular schedule and is an elected legislative body. At December meeting, a motion to postpone to January is allowed by Chair. Term for ALL members ends on 1 January. Was the motion to postpone in order?
