Bylaw Suspension Provision

This phrase is included in our organization's bylaws, "Any of these By-Laws, except Article --, Section --, may be suspended by the unanimous vote of these present at any meeting duly called."

Does that allow us to suspend our bylaws to relax the monthly meeting requirement or the (physically) present requirement assumed by us needing to meet? Is this the same as a provision to suspend the bylaw?

Also the unanimous vote of those present would require an in-person meeting with an established quorum, so if we are unable to meet in person to vote on the suspension of the bylaws (if that is a correct interpretation), then we would not be able to suspend them?

Ultimately, only your organization may interpret its own bylaws. The wording appears quite broad, however, stating that any provision of the bylaws (except those in a certain section) may be suspended. Therefore, assuming there are no other relevant rules on this matter, it would seem that the bylaws could be suspended for the purpose of relaxing the monthly meeting requirement or the requirement that members must be physically present, assuming that neither of these provisions are found within the one section which may not be suspended.

Yes.
