Our Board is an advisory Board and final decisions are voted on by the membership at the next general meeting. My question is, can the membership, or a member, make a motion to also have a lesser punishment considered by the floor before we vote on the Boards recommendation? 

I would note for future reference that it is advisable to post a new question as a new topic, even if there is an existing topic on a related subject.

With that said, however, I agree with Mr. Elsman that the answer is "yes," provided nothing in the bylaws states otherwise.
