Now there are six on the board, 3 vote to accept the resignation letter, three vote to not accept it , what can be done at this point to move forward and place somebody in the position ?Firstly, this topic belongs in the "General Discussion" forum (and one of the Administrators may move it there).A tie vote defeats the motion so the resignation is not accepted. But, until the resignation is accepted, the director is still a member so, presumably, he would vote to accept his resignation and there'd be no tie. In any case, the only reason not to accept a resignation is to pursue disciplinary action against a member while he's still a member. You really can't force a person to a job he doesn't want to do.
