Board elections

We have a Board of Directors (about14)

We have also have Executive Officers (Pres; Vice P; Secretary; Treasurer; Registrar)

In our Handbook under heading "Election of Officers" we state: In order to be nominated for any office, persons must be present at the AGM"

A couple of pages later in the Handbook we deal with "Nomination and Election of Board of Directors". Our bylaws committee did not repeat the requirement in this section.

What does Robert's say on this?

Thank you in advance.

Interpreting bylaws is beyond the scope of this forum. RONR doesn't require a person to be present to be nominated, but if your bylaws do, they would govern.
