If we have to vote again (in a tie vote) do we vote on the same day or different days ??? Thanks.

My organization will be having their election of officers in a few days. There are 2 candidates for Chair (one is incumbent). What happens if there is a tie ? What is the procedure to follow in case this happens? Our by-laws do not cover this issue so I am depending on Roberts Rules for advice. Thank you for your help in this matter. Selectman

I belong to a local American Legion Auxiliary and our elections are April 6, 2022. Question 1: All positions (President, 1st Vice, Secretary, Treasurer, Chaplain) are open and we are collecting nominations. Right now 4 people have signed up for the first 4 positions however 3 of them are related (mother, daughter, sister). Is this legal or is "nepotism" not allowed in this organization? Question 2: 2 (two) of the nominations are paid employees in the American Legion Post (mother, daughter). Is this legal ? There is nothing in the By-Laws about any of these two questions so I am referring to you. Thank you for your time.
