Good Afternoon,
I have been tasked with trying to find what to do with inconsistent bylaws. Moreover, two articles. In one of our articles referring to membership states "For additions to the membership options listed above, there must be a unanimous vote by the general membership to incorporate a new membership class." and in the final part of our bylaws it states. Proposed changes to the Bylaws of shall be presented in writing to the Executive Board at any monthly scheduled meeting. A vote will be taken to determine if the proposed changes will be presented to the general membership. A simple majority of the members present and voting is required for passage. If approved, the proposed changes will be voted on by the general membership at the next regularly scheduled meeting. Changes require a 2/3 majority of members present for ratification.
Do we need to have a unanimous vote for new membership class or are we able to use the 2/3 majority?
Thank you,
Gunnar
