If our organization has multiple committees - each of which has their own budget. Is another committee allowed to make a motion that has impact on another budget? I do not think that this is the case, but cannot find anything that indicates as such. The committee making the proposal is trying to create an allowance/discount for staff. While this is admirable, the motion impacts my committee budget. While this is intended to be applied to the next year's budget, we do not have the visibility on how it would impact the budget due to COVID closures. This was submitted for an agenda item, can this motion be objected to based on procedural grounds?
