As chairperson of a board of directors I lead the annual membership meeting for the organization. This year at the annual meeting we are holding elections and the chairperson is one of the nominees. Who should actually run the election and ask for the vote and declare each nominee elected. There is a nomination committee. Should the board member chairing this committee be the one to run the election entirely including declaring each nominee elected?
