  1. We now have the final draft of this agreement to present to the members. Do we need a motion to approve this final draft since the below motion was made and approved in a previous meeting? Made a motion to allow the guild to borrow the hangers with a contract that would include pick up, transportation and any damage or loss that might occur. Motion seconded by Shirley. Kathy Carlson volunteered to work on a contract and do inventory. Thank you
  2. Currently the president and the vice president are authorized to sign checks along with the treasurer at our bank along with our bylaws stating this. We required 2 signatures for each check that is written. The president and vice president were not able to be at the regular business meeting. We followed Roberts Rules for appointing a president for that meeting only. Is this standin president now authorized to sign checks to have 2 sigs just because of the motion that approved her to be president for that meeting? She is not an authorized signer on the account. The bank does verify that there are 2 sigs on the checks but not sure they check who the signatures are. To me this is not appropriate. Please advise. Thank you
  3. A motion was presented but not discussed or voted on. Another motion was made to table this motion until a later time after more information was gathered. This motion was approved. Should then when we are ready to revisit what was in the original motion - should then this be a new motion? Thank you rasrjs
  4. Do I understand correctly that we can do this nominate a previous president with the members agreeing to lead the meeting without have to do the RONR process with the Secreatry? Thank you
  5. What is the procedure for when the current president and vice president will not be at the meeting to lead it. Bylaws account from the VP to stand in when Pres is not there but has nothing for when both are not there. I am thinking that a previous president preside the meeting. Does there need to be motion presented to handle this? Next time we ratify the bylaws which is every 5 years we will include a clause to handle this situation. Thank you for your guidance
  6. I would like to have a refresher on the following: -motion is presented, seconded, then there is discussion; proper procedure to withdraw the motion before approved? -motion is presented, seconded, had discussion but not approved - but want to amend before the vote? -can you amend a motion after it has been approved and proper wording -when it is correct to rescind a motion after it has been approved and proper wording Thank you, RAS
