  1. A board member pointed out that he believed there was the ability to approve board motions by acclamation. All evidence I find in research shows that voting by acclamation is only permissible when it relates to candidate voting when only one choice is available. Can a ruling by acclamation apply to a motion? How would that procedure specifically take place?
  2. 9:27 (RONR 12th ed.) Helps but is still confusing. "unless that which would be reported in the minutes is not secret" I read to mean that motions which enact change should be read into general minutes post exec session as their intention cannot be understood or enact change if "kept secret." But what of the identities of those that enact the motion within the exec session. Do they need to be known in general minutes? Can a count of votes simply be reported along with the motion meaning post exec session less the identities of those who initiated the 1st and 2nd of the motion, as something that need not be known? Can we simply say "Motion XXX declaring XXX was passed unanimously or 7 to 10 in executive session?
  3. I have read information stating decisions can be made in executive sessions but nothing about how are those decisions are to be entered into minutes and actioned as governance? Can motions be anonymously reported from the Executive session with on-record board substantiation by those in attendance?? Please clarify. https://robertsrules.com/frequently-asked-questions/ #17 Yes, votes can be taken in executive session. Proceedings in an executive session are secret, but are not restricted in any other way. [RONR (12th ed.) 9:24–27.]
