A constitutional amendment was offered at a convention last year. It passed with 2/3 vote. According to the constitution, the amendment must pass by 2/3 vote at two consecutive conventions to be adopted. The amendment will be voted on again at this year’s convention. Question: can the amendment be amended prior to its second vote having been approved once? If so, would the amended version have to be approved at two consecutive conventions? Thanks.
