Guest ABC Posted January 31, 2011 at 07:29 AM Report Share Posted January 31, 2011 at 07:29 AM If you must establish a committee by a certain date, what does it mean to "Establish" a committee? Would it matter if you have the first meeting and not all members are there, however, you do make quorum? or do all members need to be present and seated for you to establish a committee? any input would help. Josh Martin Posted January 31, 2011 at 08:47 AM Report Share Posted January 31, 2011 at 08:47 AM If you must establish a committee by a certain date, what does it mean to "Establish" a committee?Well, it's up to your body to interpret its own rules, but to "establish" a committee generally means to create it.Would it matter if you have the first meeting and not all members are there, however, you do make quorum? or do all members need to be present and seated for you to establish a committee? So far as RONR is concerned, a quorate meeting is free to establish a committee despite that some members may be absent.
