First time on your Board tonight - very helpful - thank you.

I am on a small Board and will become Chairperson as the second item of business on the agenda. Until that time, I am not to disclose the results of the election. I would like to add two items to new business, but don't see how I can do that at the beginning of the meeting. Any suggestions?

When the agenda is pending for adoption, make a motion to add the items you want. Such a motion is debatable and requires a majority vote.

And unless I misunderstand, you should also be able to move your two items as motions under the New Business portion of the program anyway.
