Guest Anna Posted February 13, 2011 at 02:06 PM Report Share Posted February 13, 2011 at 02:06 PM A question just came up....if we make an amendment to our by-laws, does it have to be reported to someone or somewhere...to my knowledge the by-laws are ours and were not reported to anyone when originally written. I don't know whether or not some other rule or law applicable to your organization imposes any such requirement.
Robert B Fish Posted February 13, 2011 at 06:16 PM Report Share Posted February 13, 2011 at 06:16 PM If your organization is incorporated, you may have a legal requirement to report changes in your bylaws. If your organization is, e.g. a chapter in a national or regional organization, the national organization might require you to report (or even get approval for) changes in your bylaws. Other requirements might also apply but, as noted earlier, all are beyond the scope of this forum.-Bob
