Guest diane Posted February 19, 2011 at 12:48 AM Report Share Posted February 19, 2011 at 12:48 AM We held election of officers Jan.2011 and we had a tie for the financial secretary position. We voted twice. We will have our FEB 2011 meeting soon where we will vote a third time. If there are members that are absent do they still get to cast an absentee vote? Not at the January meeting and not at the February meeting. Of course, absent members won't be at those meetings so you can't cast an absentee vote at a meeting. Josh Martin Posted February 19, 2011 at 09:22 AM Report Share Posted February 19, 2011 at 09:22 AM If there are members that are absent do they still get to cast an absentee vote?Absentee voting is only permitted if authorized by your Bylaws, and RONR strongly advises against combining absentee votes with votes cast at a meeting.
