Breaking a Tie Vote

We have 6 board members. Can the president break a tie in a secret ballot vote?

When the vote is by ballot, the president votes with the other members. Except in the case of an election, a tie vote simply means that the motion was defeated. No need to "break" the tie. If this was an election, hold additional rounds of voting until someone is elected.

In no instance can the president vote twice (in the same round).
