Guest Felicia Posted March 8, 2011 at 09:00 PM Report Share Posted March 8, 2011 at 09:00 PM What can be done if a board member disagrees with the decision of the other board members. The board voted (4 yes 1 absent) to close the pool on 11-7 however on board member not present that meeting took it upon himself to shut the pool down 3 weeks early because he thought the pool should be closed. When discovered the pool was turned back on and he was called on it with no response. The next day he took it upon himself to close it again. No response from him again on his actions. Finally I had to get the pool pump room rekeyed to resolve the situation. Is there anything that can be done to that board member?
Robert B Fish Posted March 8, 2011 at 09:35 PM Report Share Posted March 8, 2011 at 09:35 PM See FAQ#20In addition the board could reprimand him. If his actions caused monetary loss to the organization, he would possibly be liable.-Bob
