Guest Michael Wood Posted March 28, 2011 at 06:13 PM Report Posted March 28, 2011 at 06:13 PM Chairperson making motion(s)Our Trustee/Board Member(s) consist of Nine(09) who are elected by approximately 1,300 possible homeowners. During an session Board meetings, the Chairperson (female), on a regular basis, makes motions and then requests from other Board/Trustee Members to second that motion. These Trustee/Board Members are quite set in their ways! This writer has read and reread your answer on your site, but I do not believe they (i.e.: Trustee/Board Members) would comprehend what is said. Would/could you 'spell' it out more directly and clearly so everyone could understand?
Robert B Fish Posted March 28, 2011 at 06:17 PM Report Posted March 28, 2011 at 06:17 PM With "smaller" boards, meaning less than about a dozen members, more relaxed procedures are observed. Seconding of motions is not required. The chairman makes motions, speaks in debate and votes along with the other members. [page 470-471]-Bob
