Guest HFD Posted April 7, 2011 at 12:03 AM Report Share Posted April 7, 2011 at 12:03 AM I am a member of a Volunteer fire department that states in the By-laws htat we must follow the laws of the state. We have a couple of By-laws that have not been changed in years and are now in conflict with the state law. My question is, how can we get rid of these By-laws. Must we go about the same process to amend them or can the governing body of the FD vote to rescind them or are they already not a part of the By-laws due to the rule of following state law?
