Guest Olivia Dobbins Posted September 21, 2011 at 10:13 PM Report Share Posted September 21, 2011 at 10:13 PM A long standing semi ad-hoc organization (it does have a functioning and nationally recognized President) was asked to attent a meeting with no clear understanding of the purpose. A general member opened the meeting presented the agenda and began to move those present towards taking positive and needed action. My question is the President sat there just like one of the general members. Are the proposed list prepared by this one member binding at a non official meeting? Robert B Fish Posted September 22, 2011 at 12:54 AM Report Share Posted September 22, 2011 at 12:54 AM What you describe sounds more like a gathering than a meeting. Such a gathering would not be able to conduct business on behalf of the organization, but there is nothing that would prevent them from gathering and discussing the organization.-Bob
