Guest Shirley Posted November 15, 2011 at 05:01 PM Report Share Posted November 15, 2011 at 05:01 PM I belong to an auxiliary of a fraternal lodge. The head of that lodge has requested that we remove our President from office immediately. That action is not covered in either our standing rules or by-laws.This president does not know how to run a meeting, her parliamentarian has resigned because after asking for advise from the parliamentarianshe does what she wants, she has been observed "bad mouthing" the auxiliary and the lodge, her actions at various functions at other lodgesis an embarassment to our organization. This is her first term. The by-laws state "each elected officer shall be able to serve for a term of two (2) years in succession if nominated and elected by the generalmembership except the treasurer who may serve in that office if nominated and elected by the general membership for numerous successive years."What are our options?
