Guest Linda Posted January 6, 2012 at 03:22 PM Report Share Posted January 6, 2012 at 03:22 PM Is it necessary to reveal all the details of an executive meeting to the remainder of the Board if the Constitution makes reference only to providing minutes to the Secretary for filing? We have a Board member that seems to be bent on destroying the structure of the Board with demands and undercutting comments.

RONR notes (on p.470 of the 10th edition that some of us are trying to squeeze a little more life out of) that the executive committee should make a report of its activities at each regular meeting of the board. Your rules may vary.

Or are you simply asking about the troublesome member's right to look at the minutes?
Josh Martin Posted January 10, 2012 at 12:51 AM Report Share Posted January 10, 2012 at 12:51 AM Is it necessary to reveal all the details of an executive meeting to the remainder of the Board if the Constitution makes reference only to providing minutes to the Secretary for filing? Not at the request of a single board member, no. The member has a right to view the minutes of assemblies which he is a member of, but he has no right to any further details of the meetings under RONR.
