At one time we had a FS forum that was open to the public but we're told that it was a violation of 501c3 code. My question is can a chartible org run a public forsale forum. You should ask an attorney (or a tax accountant).But not-for-profit organizations hold all kinds of fund raisers (including yard sales, etc.) so my guess is that you've been given incorrect information.
