Guest Chip Posted April 25, 2012 at 01:10 AM Report Share Posted April 25, 2012 at 01:10 AM Our association's bylaws requires 10 days notice for bylaws amendments. Due to scheduling conflicts, we need to move up our meeting date. Is there a procedure we can invoke to suspend the bylaws and vote on the changes at this meeting? The changes are non-controversial. Is there a procedure we can invoke to suspend the bylaws and vote on the changes at this meeting? Not only can't you suspend the rule requiring ten days' notice, you can't "move up" a scheduled meeting date. Trina Posted April 25, 2012 at 10:38 AM Report Share Posted April 25, 2012 at 10:38 AM If every single member attends, you could vote on the changes despite failure to observe the rule on notice.Otherwise, I agree with Edgar.
