Guest Jeff Posted April 27, 2012 at 01:51 PM Report Share Posted April 27, 2012 at 01:51 PM We have a ballot to build a new club with inner envelope containing the "for/against" vote; this is in the middle envelope with member name and signature; and the nam/signature envelope is then in a mailing envelope addressed to the Ballot committee. The head of the organization had the mailing envelopes opened as they came in and compiled a list of who had voted. This occurred all during the vote process and not when the voting actually closed. Should this ballot be nullified?
Guest Nancy N. Posted April 27, 2012 at 03:40 PM Report Share Posted April 27, 2012 at 03:40 PM He didn't touch the inner envelopes, right? Is the process laid out in writing, such that he clearly (or maybe only vaguely, or might have) violated a rule?Any actual reason to think anything is fishy? According to your rules, did he actually do anything he shouldn't have?(Might you instead be buying into that tiresome hobgoblin about "-avoiding even the APPEARANCE of impropriety-"?)
