Can a passed motion be revisited?

A motion is mad and seconded; vote is conducted; motion passes, ten-four. Now, some members want the topic to be revisited. What is the procedure?

Assuming that the action authorized by the adoption of the motion hasn't been completed, any member can make a motion to Amend Something Previously Adopted (ASPA). The voting threshold is higher (e.g. a two-thirds vote) than it was for the adoption of the original motion.

For revisiting, should the executive committee recommend that such be done? If so, should the Presiding officer make a suggestion or would a member be in order to ask for further discussion. No action has been taken other than the vote.

Any member of the body that adopted the motion can make a motion to Amend Something Previously Adopted (ASPA). That means any member of the executive committee if it was the executive committee that adopted the original motion.

However the general membership can also adopt a motion to amend something previously adopted by the executive committee (or by the board). For this, see Official Interpretation 2006-13.
