Trina Posted June 24, 2012 at 08:02 PM Report Share Posted June 24, 2012 at 08:02 PM If the bylaws require a vote by ballot, you must conduct the vote by ballot even if there is only one candidate.If a ballot vote is not required, the single candidate can be declared elected by acclamation (make sure that that nominations from the floor are called for first, in case there are any last-minute nominees).The single candidate is not 'automatically' elected -- the chair should state that the candidate is elected.
