If a letter of resignation was sent into the President of a not for profit organization. What is the proper way the board should accept it? Should it be put on a meeting agenda and motioned to accept? If there might also be a conflict of interest should that person leave the room when this topic is discussed? TY

There can be a motion or the chair can assume the motion and, after any debate, it should be put to a vote, or it could be settled by unanimous consent.

RONR doesn't require such a thing, and I wouldn't recommend it. YW
