Session or meeting

What's the difference between a session and a meeting?

A session is a meeting or group of meetings dedicated to a complete order of business, or agenda.

A meeting is a single gathering of members in one area within a particular session.

In most cases in an average local society, each session only consists of one meeting, so the distinction becomes less important.
