Guest Gary Posted December 19, 2012 at 02:16 PM Report Share Posted December 19, 2012 at 02:16 PM A Town government committee was developing regulations on public resources that will affect all citizens that use those public resources including the members of two private non- profit corporations in the Town. The committee minutes record that one of its members read aloud a personal letter addressed to him from a board of director member of one corporation, which the committee member also belongs to. The personal letter involved disagreements within that corporation, and raised a question about the conflict of interest on the committee. The corporation director wrote to the committee chairman saying that the committee member actions were inappropriate, and requesting resolution to the conflict of interest question that was made public by the member of his committee. Does RONR comment on, condone or condemn that the letter to the chairman was signed from corporation director and concerned citizen. The bylaws of the corporation include the purpose to stimulate interest in safe use of those public resources among all citizens in the area served by the corporationThank you.
