Guest Jim N Posted January 22, 2013 at 02:48 AM Report Share Posted January 22, 2013 at 02:48 AM By-laws states to have the regular meetings of the board to be held once each month.Due to a conflict of meetings the next meeting is scheduled on the first of the following month. In other word no meeting one month and two the following month. Is this a problem?

In other word no meeting one month and two the following month. Is this a problem?Yes, it is a problem... however, there is a way around it.What you should do is schedule the meeting for a day during the month, have a handful of people show up (even one or two would be plenty), and have them set up an adjourned meeting for the first of the following month. This is one of the few actions which can be taken in the absence of a quorum. The brief meeting will satisfy the requirement in the Bylaws, and you'll still get to have a meeting on the first of the following month like you wanted.
