Guest Jack March Posted February 16, 2013 at 12:27 AM Report Share Posted February 16, 2013 at 12:27 AM Sorry, under the guise of executive session?
Guest Edgar Posted February 16, 2013 at 12:46 AM Report Share Posted February 16, 2013 at 12:46 AM No guise is needed. Only members of the executive committee have a right to attend its meetings. All other guys can be excluded or admitted as the executive committee wishes (whether it's meeting in executive session or not).
Guest Jack March Posted February 16, 2013 at 12:58 AM Report Share Posted February 16, 2013 at 12:58 AM I thought the Executive Committe was a sub committee of the Board to conduct such business between normally scheduled when all, or at least a quorum of Board members were not readily available
Guest Edgar Posted February 16, 2013 at 01:14 AM Report Share Posted February 16, 2013 at 01:14 AM In spite of its name, the executive committee is more like "a board within a board" (p.485). In any case, the general principle that only members of the body that is meeting have a right to attend (and speak and vote) still applies. Non-members of the executive committee have no more right to attend its meetings than non-members of the board have to attend board meetings.
