Josh Martin Posted March 9, 2013 at 04:23 PM Report Share Posted March 9, 2013 at 04:23 PM A member has asked for a topic be placed on the agenda prior to the actual meeting. I was of the understanding that a member had to be present at the meeting to ask for the topic be part of new businessI see no problem with the member making a request. The assembly is not obligated to comply with his request. The member would, of course, need to be present to actually make a motion, so it would likely be more productive for him to find someone to make the motion he's considering rather than worrying about what's on the agenda.
