Guest Beth Posted February 4, 2014 at 01:42 PM Report Share Posted February 4, 2014 at 01:42 PM Hello. Our organization has BOT vacancies that are filled every year in rotation. This year - the nominating committee will be presenting the new members - one executive committee member and several BOT members each for two years. The posting of these new people is made several weeks before our annual meeting in June. The President, however, is in the second year of his service as he filled one year previously of the past president who resigned. He is planning to finish service two years (mid term) July 1 but has already made this public. Should the nominating committee be posting the complete new slate with the changes in the Exec Committee in advance of July 1 with their posting prior to our annual meeting in June - or should those executive committee changes be made public July 1? In this case, our bylaws specity the 1st VP moves up and the remaining spot is filled by the ascending president. I hope this question is clear.... Thank you. Timothy Posted February 4, 2014 at 02:32 PM Report Share Posted February 4, 2014 at 02:32 PM Since the president's intentions have already been made public, I see nothing wrong with posting the complete slate with a note that says, "pending acceptance of the president's resignation." Guest Edgar Posted February 4, 2014 at 02:40 PM Report Share Posted February 4, 2014 at 02:40 PM I see nothing wrong with posting the complete slate . . .Other than referring to the selections of the nominating committee as a "complete slate".
