Dan Honemann Posted April 12, 2014 at 04:59 PM Report Share Posted April 12, 2014 at 04:59 PM Some motions are self-executing, and are therefore carried out immediately upon adoption (a motion "that Mr. X is hereby commended for his service in ... "). Some motions may take years to be carried out (a motion to support a particular party's candidate in the next presidential election). What motion did you have in mind? David A Foulkes Posted April 13, 2014 at 06:16 PM Report Share Posted April 13, 2014 at 06:16 PM After a motion is passed how many days it has to be carry out. Although RONR doesn't address this directly or specifically, it would be fair to expect the approved action to be completely in a timely manner. Whether that takes a day, a month, a year, or longer depends on the action, but I'd say things should get started as soon as is fairly possible, and continue to completion without any unreasonable delays.
