Adoption of a constitution for the first time

Our organisation consisting of three entities with very similar but seperate constitutions have amalgamated and drafted a new constitution.

We are about to hold the combined meeting to adopt the new constitution.  What is the correct procedure in terms of

1. Accepting changes to the draft constitution before final adoption.  1a What majority is required to make the change at this stage

2. Would the constitution have to be adopted before elections for office bearers takes place

3.  What % of the delegates would be required to accept the final agreed upon constitution.

Any advise would be appreciated

1.  Amendments to the draft may be proposed. Majority to adopt.

2.  Yes, since you want to elect officers of the new organization.

3.  Majority of those delegates present and voting.

It looks to me that you are "consolidating" your three into one effectively brand new one .  See page 561 for further appropriate details.
