Guest Susan Posted June 30, 2019 at 09:10 PM Report Share Posted June 30, 2019 at 09:10 PM The Board appointed a bylaws committee from among the Board members. If the committee's responsibilities continue into a new election year, and a member of the committee is not reelected to the Board, must that individual be replaced with another current Board member? Atul Kapur Posted June 30, 2019 at 09:18 PM Report Share Posted June 30, 2019 at 09:18 PM You will have to check your own rules, whether in the bylaws or elsewhere, to see what are the eligibility requirements to serve as a member of your bylaws committee. If it is a requirement that all members of the bylaws committee have to be members of the Board, then that individual is no longer on the committee. Again, You will have to check your own rules to see if you need to fill the vacancy (likely) or leave the committee with one less member.
