Atul Kapur Posted July 4, 2019 at 01:43 AM Report Share Posted July 4, 2019 at 01:43 AM Use the motion to Rescind or the motion to Amend Something Previously Adopted (ASPA). Those motions have a different voting threshold than usual. To adopt either of those motions you need to have any of (a) a 2/3 vote; or (b) a majority of the entire membership voting in favour of Rescind or ASPA; or (c) a majority vote IF you have given previous notice of the motion. There are limitations on what can be Rescinded or ASPA'd (eg: can't Rescind a motion that's been executed. So if the motion was to, say, sell the firehouse and the sale has happened, then it's too late to rescind the motion to sell.)
