Guest Debbie Kremn Posted December 4, 2019 at 02:44 AM Report Share Posted December 4, 2019 at 02:44 AM We have an organization that is only governed by a President that is not following RROO. Our by-laws state that new officers need to be nominated in April and voted on in June. Do we have to wait to do so if the positions are vacant? Probably not, but what you can do and when you can do it may depend on what your bylaws say about vacancies and the powers of your executive board if you have one. If your bylaws are silent, RONR provides that a special election should be held to fill the vacancies. Advance notice of the special election should be given to the members.
