Guest Scott Bauer Posted May 22, 2020 at 04:44 PM Report Share Posted May 22, 2020 at 04:44 PM Dear Group: A seven-member public body in my County is not giving one of their members detailed billing information of a contractor for said entity. Only a few of the members have been viewing the detailed billing reports. Does Robes Rules address the issue of sharing information between governing board members? Thank you, Scott

No, RONR does not address this issue. RONR grants all members of the assembly a right to view the secretary's record books, which include the minutes, the reports of boards, officers, and committees, and the rules of the organization and assembly, but access to other records of the assembly is up to the organization's own rules, or in the absence of such rules, at the assembly's discretion. There may well also be applicable laws on the subject.
Guest joe Posted April 3, 2021 at 03:21 AM Report Share Posted April 3, 2021 at 03:21 AM Does Roberts rules of order grant equal access to information? Are there limits to the equal access to that information? ( such as, if one person can view a copy can all parties view a copy upon request )
